Gamesradar says,"...Following its extremely positive reception, BioShock is being eyed as a major new franchise by 2K Games parent Take-Two - which is already talking sequels.

The publisher's recently spoke of the possibility of hitting "roughly" a new BioShock release every two years.

"I would say, probably, roughly an every-two-year schedule would be optimal. And if you look historically, that has been largely the case with GTA, and I'd expect we'd apply roughly the same strategy to BioShock because BioShock is shaping up to be a very important franchise," Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick said in a conference call with analysts..."

This sounds like a marketing proposal to me. I don't see Ken Levine who took more than 4 years to create the original Bioshock being able to crank out a new one every 2 years.
