1UP just reported on the pricing of the upcoming DLC for Street Fighter IV. The alternate costumes cost 325 microsoft points for about 4 costumes each pack that are to be rolled out over a period of about a month. There IS an all in pack coming out in April for 1000 microsoft points.
Now, I would just like to say that I remember when we could buy item packs for our characters for Virtua Fighter 5 for only 80-100 points. There items could be used on many different characters. Not to say that was exactly a bargain either but if this pricing is correct it's kind of a mighty step forward towards what people were worried about with the whole "horse armor" debacle of a few years ago.
The other thing that no one is saying but which is probably the case, is that these outfits are probably on the disk anyway and we are just buying the right to the keys that unlock them. Which is also kind of sad. I'm more than happy to pay for DLC but it really should be worthwhile not some cosmetic add on that is not worth much more than a few cents. I would have gladly paid 100 MS points for these outfits but 325? That's a little much! But hey, this is the same service that people pay 80-125 points for those brady games video strategy guide rip-offs. So I guess whatever sells...
