FreeRealms has had a BANNER year!
I have to say that FreeRealms is probably the biggest surprise of the year and I have to say that 2 Million registered subscribers is probably only the beginning of the mass domination of this game. Once it hits PS3 the game will probably explode like nothing else. I just hope they are actually making enough money to keep the game going. For the most part, unlike a lot of Free to Play MMORPGs FreeRealms is still ALOT of fun even if you don't pay the subscription fee or ever cough up any Station Cash.
Unfortunately the game is also SUPER ADDICTIVE. Which means that once I start playing five hours of my life just flutter away. So I pretty much try to just play one or two days a week. But for all those people who live on MMORPGs I have to say that FreeRealms is definitely worthy of some high praise and big recognition.
Metal Gear Solid Rising, now on XBOX 360!
This looks awesome. According to folks on the ground, this game is looking to be more action oriented over stealth. With Raiden leading the charge this game is going to be wonderful. What I'm wondering now is will there be a direct to download version of Metal Gear Solid 4 for the XBOX 360 before THIS game launches? Wouldn't THAT be cool, after all Kojima did say the Metal Gear Franchise. Not just Rising...
Splinter Cell Conviction XBOX 360 Exclusive!
I don't really like Stealth games but this game looks AMAZING! Like Metal Gear Solid Amazing!
Shadow Complex is the what you'll be playing on XBOX LIVE ARCADE!
Hopefully soon.... It does appear in the advertisement for the Games of Summer 2 on XBOX LIVE ARCADE. So that probably means we will see this game by the end of August. Which would be great. This game is very old school and very hardcore. Good times, Good times...
APB Trailer!
APB is an amazing looking property. The idea that you have 100 people or 300 people and a limited amount of time to do what some MMORPGs take hundreds of days to accomplish. I mean that seems incredible. Vigilantes versus crooks also seem really amazing, like a Crackdown MMO, but ALOT better, Hopefully it will be around and not just smoke and mirrors.
EA SPORTS AND EA PRESS CONFERENCE! Lots of Games, so Many Games!
So there really aren't any videos out there yet. So I will just give you a quick run down. First and foremost, we have the slew of online features for Madden 10 everything from online franchise modes to Co-op. Also, they have a create a team web app. coming out very soon for NCAA Football 10.
Of course they also showed some Fight Night Round 4 stuff and talked about how wonderful the game is; which everyone should know from downloading the demo from XBOX LIVE.
Microsoft Press Conference: Well that Was AMAZING!
There we SO MANY things shown at this year's Microsoft Press Conference that it kind of struck me. Everything that was rumored was true and a few things that no one expected was shown off.
I put up the Natal Project Demo video up but I thin that you folks can probably fly around the net to see any of the trailers or screens that are probably flooding the net as we speak. I will give you one more for your lazy enjoyment.
OK so I did this on purpose guys. The top trailer being the MOST POWERFUL part of the show and the bottom one being the least powerful. Everything in between was very impressive and incredible. The main issue I have with the Beatles are the graphics. The stylized Beatles just don't look very good and I think they could at the very least, given the original engine a little graphical boost. But it is, what it is. I would imagine most people will think that this game will be mainly about the music so that's fine and certainly not a major problem at the show.
The Natal Project with the full 3D space motion being interpreted by the camera in SO MANY ways and being able to have one on one interaction between real people, your XBOX 360, or a character in a game were pretty freakin amazing and makes all the other game news kind of shallow end of the pool by comparison. Although the full realization of this technology is probably about 2 years away and maybe even farther out than that. Considering that developer kits are all ready going out and that it works on the regular XBOX 360 I would guess that by the time we see the end of this console cycle we will see stuff that makes what the Wii is doing with motion control look like something out of plug into the television land.
